people think that my family have a lot of money, but the fact is I cannot afford to sleep,

because my dad snores,

because my mom sleep talks because of her trauma,

they believe in my education and marriage (in their opinion) but not therapy,

I'm a light sleeper,

because I've been so tortured all these years,

sometimes even by my sister,

everyone asks if the economy is going,

no one asks how is the economy is going,

everyone asks how are you,

no one cares if you're having a fucking existential crisis going on,

it's not my job to fix the gig economy,

it's not my job to deal with discrimination with my $14/hr job to tip a driver that treated me like shit in the car,

I fucking hate uber,

sleep is an escape from reality,

and we all need it.
